National curricula for ICS has been developed as part of NIMS. OQA Associates have participated in the development of these curricula and have both ongoing field and teaching experience with all of the NIMS and ICS-related courses. The National Curriculum for ICS includes several team courses related to incident management using the ICS.
Command and General Staff (S-420)
Most appropriate for Type 2 Regional IMTs, this course provides a detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities of the Incident Commander and Command and General Staffs. It enhances the skills necessary to operate as a team in the various Command and General Staff positions and promotes a better understanding of team operations.
Command and General Staff (ICS-320)
Most appropriate for Type 3 local IMTs, this course provides a detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities of the Incident Commander and Command and General Staffs. It enhances the skills necessary to operate as a team in the various Command and General Staff positions and promotes a better understanding of team operations.
Command and General Staff Functions for Local IMTs
Most appropriate for Type 3 local IMTs, this course presents training to a designated team of multi-agency managers within a larger and generally more populated area, typically from a single jurisdiction. The team manages an incident requiring a significant number of local and mutual aid resources. Thecourse is delivered as "team training" to an entire Local IMT.
O-305 USFA Type 3 Incident Command Team (AHIMT) Training
This course includes numerous exercises and simulations most appropriate for Type 3 Local IMTs for team members, including a capstone exercise designed to immerse the IMT members in a simulated incident they could actually face in the future.
